Parents & Family

Our teachers understand that it is important to keep teacher and parent communication open. We use the Lillio App for daily student updates, progress, and photos to keep you up to date. We welcome your input, ideas, and suggestions at all times.

Nutrition

We know that good nutrition contributes to effective learning in children. We are a nut-free facility to ensure that children with allergies are in a safe environment. We follow the Canadian Food Guide to ensure that we are providing appropriate serving portions and healthy food and drinks for our children. We provided three meals daily with the exception of children who have many dietary restrictions. In this case, parents have the option to provide meals for their child as long as they are labeled and nut-free. We provide breakfast at 8:30 am, lunch at 12 pm, and snacks at 2:30 pm.

Enrolment

Enrolling and/or reserving a future space for your child is simple. Please refer to the top of the page and click on Contact Us. You will then fill out all the required information and an email will be sent directly to us at which time we will respond. After the virtual or in-person visit, the registration process may begin. There are various forms to be completed and others to be read. Once they are read, completed, signed, and the deposit has been paid then your child's space has been reserved.

In-Person Tour

In-person tours will be scheduled when a space becomes available. This time spent gives all involved an opportunity to get to know one another and to make sure that all personalities mix well. This is important and helps to ensure that families are comfortable with their surroundings and expectations.

Fees

We currently open from 7:00 am to 6:00 p.m. Our part-time program consists of either 2, 3 or 4 days a week or a full-time program Monday to Friday. We are part of the Canada-Wide Early Learning Childcare (CWELCC) program and the rates below are reflective of that.

Toddlers (18 months - 29 months)

$29.30 a day

Preschooler / Casa (30 months to 6 years old)

$28.35 a day

Registration Fee

We currently have a registration fee of $150 that is also partially covered by the CWELCC program. Parents are paying $70.88 plus $15 for a water bottle that will be provided for your child on their first day to stay at the centre.

Uniforms

We ask that children wear uniforms Monday to Thursday from September until July. The uniforms are generic and can be bought at department stores. We ask that your child wears a navy cardigan or sweater, white polo, navy pants and solid black indoor shoes. Upon registration, examples of uniforms will be sent and any further questions can be answered at that time.

Communication

At Tiny Bees Childcare we use Lillio app to communicate with parents/guardians about their children's day. This app is in real-time and can be downloaded to your phone. Parents/guardians receive notifications on their phone with pictures of activities that their children are working on, what they have eaten, how long they have slept, supplies they are running low on, and so much more.  Our educators are hand-picked to ensure that our children's families are kept up to date about their children's development and day. Building great connections with our families is what Tiny Bees strives on and remains one of our greatest strengths.
